In 2026, nattiase® joined CellMark at Korea HI, HI Japan and Vitafoods Asia, alongside TG Biotech in Japan and Thailand. Our Korea HI debut also marked our first exhibition with Morinaga.
At HI Japan and Vitafoods Asia, brands, distributors and manufacturers asked about research, activity grades and combination formulas. These conversations frame four ingredient-selection questions.

1. Research & Evidence
Match study material, population and outcomes to your product.
Human nattokinase research
Nattokinase is studied for fibrinolysis—the breakdown of fibrin in blood clots. Human research includes an eight-week randomized blood-pressure trial and a single-dose study of fibrinolysis and coagulation markers.
nattiase® preclinical studies
nattiase®’s presentation with CellMark Japan highlighted two preclinical studies in In Vivo:
- Alzheimer’s disease model: amyloid accumulation and learning/memory.
- Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model: brain injury and antioxidant mechanisms.
2. Enzyme Activity & FU Grades
FU measures enzyme activity; mg measures ingredient weight.
Compare activity per serving
FU stands for fibrinolytic units. Compare FU/g, assay methods and activity per serving.
Available nattiase® grades
nattiase® offers 20,000, 40,000, 60,000 and 80,000 FU/g.
At the same target FU, the 80,000 FU/g grade uses one-quarter the ingredient mass of the 20,000 FU/g grade, allowing more flexibility in capsule design.
3. Quality Verification
Start with the technical data sheet (TDS).
What to check
Review activity specifications, microbial and heavy-metal limits, shelf life and storage conditions. Ask the supplier for assay methods and supporting stability data.
nattiase® quality controls
- nattiase® inspections: raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods.
- External testing: heavy metals, pesticides and aflatoxins, with accredited third-party laboratories.
- Certifications: HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 for the factory; Halal and Kosher for products.
4. Formulation Support
Define ingredient roles, then assess compatibility, blend uniformity and retained nattokinase activity.
Ingredient roles
Combination formulas discussed at HI Japan and Vitafoods Asia call for clear ingredient roles. Nattokinase, omega-3s and CoQ10 have different research starting points:
- Nattokinase: fibrinolytic activity.
- Omega-3s: lipid and inflammation-related pathways.
- CoQ10: cellular energy.
OEM support
nattiase®’s OEM process covers consultation and solution design, prototypes, pilot production, quality engineering, bulk production, QC and delivery.
