nattiase® Across APAC 2026: Partnerships, Science & Nattokinase Ingredient Insights
Japan at the heart of regional development, with new conversations across Korea, Southeast Asia and Australia.
In 2026, nattiase® connected with partners, brands and product developers at Hi- Japan, Hi-Korea and Vitafoods Asia. Each exhibition contributed something different: closer teamwork in Japan, a new co-branding experience in Korea, and deeper regional dialogue in Thailand. Together, they reinforced our approach to APAC development—building lasting relationships around ingredient science, quality and thoughtful product applications.
The conversations also brought practical questions into focus. What evidence supports an ingredient? How should enzyme activity be compared? What documentation matters? And how can formulation support help turn an idea into a workable product?
Japan — The core of our APAC development
Japan sits at the heart of nattiase®’s APAC development. Its established functional-food ecosystem provides an important setting for exchanging scientific perspectives, refining ingredient positioning and exploring differentiated applications.
Our long-standing relationship with CellMark is central to that work. Through continued dialogue and close team collaboration, we are building a shared understanding of how nattiase® can be presented, evaluated and developed for the region. Research communication, technical questions and application concepts discussed here, help shape how we engage with partners elsewhere — while allowing each market’s needs to guide its own development.
At Hi-Japan 2026, nattiase® exhibited in Japan together with CellMark and TG Biotech for the first time. This extended the teamwork established through our joint regional showcase in 2025 and continued at Vitafoods Asia in 2026.
The joint presence gave the teams more time to exchange perspectives, strengthen working relationships and explore how nattiase® and TG Biotech’s Actiponin® could be communicated through coordinated brand activities. It also created space to discuss differentiated applications while respecting each ingredient’s distinct identity and evidence base.
Earlier in the year, our scientific communication with CellMark Japan at Health Food Expo introduced preclinical research connecting nattokinase with emerging brain-health questions. These continuing exchanges illustrate Japan’s role in our regional direction: a core setting for science, team development and new application thinking.

Korea — Science, Nature, Innovation — with Passienol™
Our first participation at Hi-Korea brought nattiase® together with Morinaga’s Passienol™, a branded passion fruit seed extract and our regional partner — CellMark Korea. The show marked the teams’ first joint exhibition in Korea — a valuable opportunity to engage directly with local industry players and introduce our brands to a new audience.
Through face-to-face conversations and a shared exhibition presence, we built initial connections, gained fresh market perspectives and laid the groundwork for continued dialogue and future opportunities.
Science, Nature, Innovation was the shared slogan for this joint exhibition. A common purple palette brought the two brands into a coordinated presentation, creating an opportunity to explore how distinct natural ingredients can communicate through a shared commitment to research and innovation. The experience centered on team exchange and co-brand marketing. It gave both teams an opportunity to understand one another’s perspectives, share ideas and discover common ground in how science-led ingredients are introduced to the industry.

Thailand — Deepening Southeast Asian connections, opening dialogue on Australia
At Vitafoods Asia 2026, our discussions focused primarily on Southeast Asia. Thailand served as a regional meeting point for connecting with local distributors and contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), including conversations about extending existing cooperation.
Building on the multi-partner relationships developed in 2025, we continued exchanging views on ingredient positioning, formulation needs and regional brand development.
The exhibition also brought our first in-depth discussions about developing the Australian market. This added a new dimension to our APAC dialogue, alongside the ongoing work of strengthening relationships across Southeast Asia.

Looking Toward 2027 — Healthy ageing, clearer evidence and practical formulation
These exchanges sit within a broader industry focus on healthy ageing and healthspan. Looking ahead, Vitaquest’s 2027 supplement outlook also highlights healthy ageing, cognitive wellness, ingredient transparency and science-backed formulations.
For nattiase®, these themes offer useful questions for product development. How does circulation fit within a healthy-ageing concept? What does the evidence support? And which ingredient specification and format best suit the intended product?
Our educational resources on metabolic health, glucose, lipids and circulation and brain blood flow and neurovascular health explore related areas. They provide context for application discussions, with each proposed benefit still requiring evidence appropriate to the ingredient and finished formula.
Four Questions for Choosing a Nattokinase Ingredient
1. Research & Evidence: Does the Evidence Match the Intended Application?
Start with the study material, population, dose and measured outcomes.
Nattokinase research includes investigations into fibrinolysis and blood flow-related biology. Human studies have examined blood pressure and fibrinolysis-related or coagulation markers. Our evidence, quality and safe-use overview explains why findings should be interpreted within each study’s conditions.
nattiase®’s scientific presentation with CellMark Japan also highlighted two preclinical studies published in In Vivo:
- An Alzheimer-like animal model examining amyloid accumulation and learning/memory outcomes.
- A cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model examining brain injury and antioxidant mechanisms.
These findings support further scientific exploration. They do not establish cognitive benefits or disease-treatment effects in humans. The distinction is particularly relevant when considering emerging brain-health concepts.
2. Enzyme Activity & FU Grades: How Does the Specification Fit the Product?
FU measures enzyme activity; mg measures ingredient weight. A useful comparison therefore considers FU/g, assay methods and intended activity per serving.
Our ingredient evaluation checklist outlines the specifications and documentation behind that assessment.
nattiase® offers 20,000, 40,000, 60,000 and 80,000 FU/g specifications. At the same target FU, the 80,000 FU/g grade requires one-quarter of the raw-material mass of the 20,000 FU/g grade.
That difference can provide more flexibility in capsule design or leave space for other ingredients in a combination formula. It helps developers consider product size and formulation needs without automatically increasing serving activity. Our dose-response discussion provides further context.
3. Quality Verification: What Supports the Specification?
Ingredient transparency becomes practical when specifications, batch results and stability information can be reviewed together.
Start with the technical data sheet (TDS), request a lot-specific certificate of analysis (CoA), and discuss assay methods, microbial and heavy-metal limits, storage conditions and supporting stability data.
nattiase®’s quality controls include inspections of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods, alongside external testing through accredited laboratories. Factory certifications include HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000; product certifications include Halal and Kosher.
For regional partners and manufacturing teams, these materials support more informed discussions about project suitability and destination-market requirements.
4. Formulation Support: Can the Concept Be Verified in the Finished Formula?
A combination formula needs a clear purpose for each ingredient.
Our comparison of nattokinase, omega-3s and CoQ10 introduces their different research starting points. These distinctions can help frame an initial concept; compatibility, blend uniformity and retained nattokinase activity then need to be evaluated in the proposed formula.
nattiase®’s OEM and formulation services cover consultation and solution design, prototyping, pilot production, quality engineering, bulk production, QC and delivery.
As interest grows in products addressing related wellness needs, this step-by-step assessment helps connect ingredient positioning with practical manufacturing decisions.
What’s Next for APAC?
Japan will remain the core of our APAC development, with CellMark as a central partner in continuing scientific exchange, brand development and application discussions.
We will also build on our teamwork with TG Biotech and Actiponin® through continued dialogue and coordinated regional brand activities. In Korea, the shared experience with Morinaga’s Passienol™ provides a starting point for further team exchange and co-brand marketing conversations around Science, Nature, Innovation.
Across Southeast Asia, we will continue deepening relationships with distributors, brands and CDMOs initiated this year. Our focus remains on stronger regional relationships, clearer scientific communication and thoughtful development of ingredient applications.
